    Pradip Kalbar was awarded PhD in Environmental Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB), Mumbai. Presently, he works as Assistant Professor at the Centre for Urban Science and Engineering (CUSE) at IITB. Prior to joining IITB as faculty, Pradip worked for two-years as postdoctoral researcher at the Division for Quantitative Sustainability Assessment Dept. of Management Engineering, Technical University of Denmark (DTU). The postdoctoral fellowship was awarded under HC Ørsted Postdoc Fellowship program Co-funded by Marie Curie Actions Program of EU. His area of research includes water supply, wastewater treatment, life cycle assessment, circular economy and climate change mitigation.

    Recently, interventions based on his work for improving water supply in India are adopted by the Ministry of Jal Shakti for implementation in all the states. Also, he is the Member of the Technical Advisory Committee for Water Supply of Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) and member of the International Water Association's Specialist Group on Intermittent Water Supply. Pradip has authored three book chapters and published several scientific papers in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences. He also has wide industrial and consulting experience in the area of water sector, urban waste management and environmental sustainability.
